Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How soon are we able to start service?
A: We make all efforts to start as soon as you need it. In emergency situations, we are sometimes able to have a caregiver introduced same day.
Q: Do you screen your Caregivers?
A: Yes! We run criminal background checks on all our caregivers. We have an extensive interview process and we verify their work history and references both professional and personal. We maintain copies of their driving record and current auto insurance at all times. We also perform random drug tests.
Q: What kind of training do your Caregivers have?
A: All of our Caregivers have experience. They have either taken care of aging family members or friends or have professional experience. Before a Caregiver starts with a client they go through a 4 hour orientation with our company. We have quarterly staff meetings and monthly training in dementia and Alzheimers care. High Calling Home Care also provides our employees the opportunity to receive certifications through our company such as the Certified Companion Aid (CCA) and the Certified Hospice Companion Aid (CHCA). Most of our caregivers are Certified Nurse Assistants (C.N.A.) licensed through the state of NC.
